MDS Trends ’25: Brands to Watch

From unique aesthetics to playful graphics and products, these up-and-coming brands are doing all the right things.

As we venture further into 2025, we have accumulated a list of some of our favorite on-trend brands that we will be keeping an eye on for the rest of the year—you should too!

MANGO TOWN

Mango Town is a shop fueled by pure, ungovernable whimsy. As mayor and artist of Mango Town, Jennifer Xiao crafts a world full of silly little guys, including the iconic “puff tigers,” dancing flowers, different foods, and her cat, Monkey. On her store you can find a wide variety of goods like plushes, home decor, stationary, blankets, and more.

Mango Town is so close to our hearts for its adorable yet humorous qualities, as well as being a great spot to shop for all of our trinket-loving bretheren. Once you have one puff, you’ll need ten more, reigning over your desk space as an army of questionable chaos.

COCOFLOSS

Cocofloss is an oral care brand that specializes in creating joyinducing, high-performance products that work, rebuild, and nurture your routine. Flossing especially is a commonly overlooked vital part of oral health, and Cu sisters Chrystle and Cat wanted to create a way to make flossing more fun, motivating, and rewarding for all with products that work as good as they look.

We especially enjoy Cocofloss for its approach to a category of mundane design—specializing in products with bold, funky colors and holographic finishes. They also offer fun floss flavors never seen before, like apple cinnamon, gelato affogato, and dark chocolate.

HOME STUDYO

Based in Belgium, Home Studyo creates playful ceramic homeware whose mission is to provide products that inspire the curation of space that brings happiness and joy. Full of color, these pieces are guaranteed eye-catchers regardless of where they’re placed and definitely speak toward joy-driven spending.

We especially love how the Blow Up collection straddles the line between hard and soft, along with its youthful nature. Not only are there several forms to choose from, but each serves as a functional piece of home decor and can be found at reasonable prices.

Woobles are crochet kits targeted at both beginners and experienced crocheters that include patterns, materials, and step-by-step video tutorials that teach you how to make a variety of adorable animals and characters. The Woobles grew substantially in 2024 and continue to collaborate with big names like Pusheen, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Beetlejuice, Harry Potter, and Peanuts, which only extends their reach.

We can't get enough of how easy the Woobles makes the experience of learning to crochet, while providing countless cute and achievable final product options that inspire consumers to pick up a hook.

GRAZA

Graza is a Brooklyn-based brand that believes that every kitchen deserves good, fresh olive oil that’s affordable enough to be used every day, with products that come in squeezy bottles to add fun and ease to your cooking.

Our fascination with Graza stems from their pride in being functional and fully transparent, along with their playful, handcrafted design that tells a story reflective of their values. Brands who aren’t afraid to incorporate illustration into their world easily get the official MDS Design Trends Team stamp of approval.

Founded by multidisciplinary artist Alex Proba, ProbaHome transforms signature artistry into a cast of vibrant, textural objects to live in harmony within your home. From tactile, richly patterned rugs and pillows to curvaceous, deeply saturated chairs and tables, each piece is a story that begins as one of Alex’s geometric abstractions.

FRESH SENDS

Fresh Sends is all about freshening-up a gifting industry that’s followed the same formula for years. With a strong focus on packaging, graphics, high quality products, and an exciting unboxing experience, Fresh Sends further emphasizes the sentiment behind the gesture.

We admire how convenient, memorable, and cute each of these boxes are, from the exterior of the packaging all the way down to the little notes that accompany the gifted product. From flowers to cosmetics to ingredients for a homemade comfort meal, there are several thoughtful options to choose from.

NOTHING

Nothing takes pride in creating iconic technology that is not only fun to interact with, but fun to look at as well. In a world full of monotony where much tech looks the same, Nothing keeps it fresh by integrating glowing light elements and transparent materials that can be adopted at reasonable prices.

At Mertz, we're obsessed with what Nothing is doing to not only stand out in the tech industry but also to change the game. Nothing audio, phone, and watch products aesthetically scratch the itch of nostalgic products of the 2000s while nodding to technofuturism.
